1st ‘Genetics and Plant Breeding for the Future’ International Conference

Conference cancelled !!!

Dear Colleagues,

Thank you very much for your interest in our conference 1st “Genetics and Plant Breeding for the Future”. Unfortunately, today we are forced to provide you with information about the dismissal of the organization of the event. Making this decision was difficult, but it results from conditions that we are not responsible for.

Two factors had the main impact on our decision:
1) geopolitical situation in our region of Europe – we have received feedback that some of the participants from abroad are currently resigning from participating in scientific conferences in our country, and some countries officially advise against traveling to Poland at the moment,
2) The situation related to the Covid-19 pandemic – we hoped that this year it would be possible to return to normality, but unfortunately, we are currently observing the beginning of another wave of incidence. Current forecasts indicate that September may be the month in which it may be necessary to introduce restrictions aimed at limiting the spread of the virus.

From the beginning, we assumed that our conference was supposed to be a live meeting, and we did not consider converting it to an online or hybrid form. In the current situation, we are afraid that organizing it in such a formula may not be possible, so we decided to cancel it.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this decision could have caused. We hope that our arguments will meet with your understanding, and we hope to meet in the future at other events.
